The Simpsons reach their 500th episode .

Yes after 23 years on our tv screens ,releasing a movie and countless games , Americas favourite family "The Simpsons" have nearly reached 500 episodes and this milestone episode will premiere on sunday .

"Matt Groening" The simpsons creator commented on the success of the series saying "I never imagined this . I thought it would be a hit with kids .I wasnt sure adults would dig it " .The "500th" episode will be about the locals of Springfield kicking the Simpsons out of the town. Somehow one of The US's and Europe's most controversial figures Julian Assange (wikileaks) makes an apperance . ITS THE SIMPSONS WE EXPECT THIS STUFF RIGHT ?

The simpsons joins tv shows like "Lassie" which had over 500 episodes and will debut its 500th episode in the USA on "FOX" this Sunday , February the 15th and if all continues to go well heres to many more years of the simpsons . Trailer included below for 500th episode .

Scary Movie 5 release date moved to 2013 .

The reboot of the "Weinstein Companys" very succesful spoof horror movie franchise, "Scary Movie" has been pushed back to January 11th 2013 , months later than its earlier release date of April 2012 .

This due to the fact actors and writers e.t.c are busy with current projects .
Its not like we couldnt see this coming , if they were really going ahead with Scary Movie 5 this April we should have had a trailer by now if not since Christmas last year.

Well lets hope Scary Movie still has a place in the world of film despite negative reviews from the last scary movie flick . With Scary Movie being known for making spoof versions of films like Scream (which also got a reboot last year and was a small success) and The ring ,its likely modern greats like Paranormal Activity will be not be spared next January .

Scary movie has had its great moments and what kid 9 or 10 years ago didn't run around going Waaaazzzzzzaaaaa !

Oscars 2012 whats going to do it ?

With the oscars only a week and a half away everyone is trying to guess what is going to do it and pick up an award .

Here are my guesses at what will be able to stand out that bit more .

BEST PICTURE 2012 :
 A tough category but reallt there are only 3 contenders that could do it in my opinion .

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close :
A movie shown threw the eyes of a young boy who loses his father in the
horriffic September 11th attacks of 2001 . This film revolves around this boy played by new star "Thomas Horn"
and how he deals with the loss of his father and how the breaking of that bond between them, affects him and what it takes for a boy who has lost all innocence in one day, to remember his father and at the same time rebuild his faith in Humanity . Based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer . 4.5 Stars

Actors  - "Tom Hanks","Thomas Horn" and "Sandra Bullock".

The Descendants :



A movie set on the paradise island of Hawaii which is far from paradise for a Father "George Clooney" trying to raise and learn the truth about his broken family and try to reconnect with his two daughters after their mother is put in a   coma following a boating accident. Top notch drama with lots of comedy too . 4.5 Stars

The Help :

Set in the 1960s Aspiring young author "Emma Stone" tries to get the story of the decade by detailing the lives of African American maids and whats there view of the racist white families they work for is, in the southern United States .
Incredible Comedy Drama set during the civil rights movements in America .

The Artist :
Set in Hollywood during the 1920s the golden age of film , this silent movie George Valentin played by "Jean Dujardin" a world famous star of the silent movie industry fears the arrival of the talking picture believing stars of the silent screen could be forgotten (what a clever man he must have seen the late 20th century in a vision ) so teams up with a young dancer Pippy Miller played by "Berenice Bejo" waiting for her big break in the world .

They go about their plan to rule the celeb world with the help of the 1920s most awesome DOG , yes dog who in my opinion should win a oscar for best animal in a silent movie (they need to make the award for this dog).

 Excellent movie bringing silent movies to a new generation . 5 Stars

In my opinion all the films i wrote summaries on , are the ones which have the possibility of getting best picture with War Horse also being in there with a chance . But if i had to choose one of the nominees that will win the award it would be "The Artist" , my Second choice being "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" and my Third being "The help" .

Either way all the movies above deserve it , one or two just stand out for me .

The 84th Oscars take place on Sunday February 27th in LA .

Kelly rowland wants X Factor USA Job.

"Kelly Rowland" (former destinys child band member) has said in a interview with CNN thats she thinks   "It would be awesome to judge over here (the USA) for X Factor" , and that "(she) really enjoyed (her) time over in the UK being a judge"

With "Paula Abdul" and "Nicole Scherzinger" having departed after just one US series , it leaves two spots open on the judging panel but it all depends on  Mr "Simon Cowell" and wether he thinks its a good idea to give kelly the role .

Kelly went down very well with audiences in the UK and Ireland last year on the UK version of X Factor despite replacing "Cheryl Cole" (the former UK judge and sex symbol idolised by millions) who left to be on the US show only to get dropped by SICO last year . Despite not being on great speaking terms with Simon , he has revealed getting Cheryl back on the UK version of the show is something he wants. Is this Kellys chance to hand her place back to Cheryl in the UK in return for a Judging role in the US ?

New France v Ireland date set for 6 nations .

March 4th is the date that is scheduled for the postponed 6 nations match between Ireland and France in paris cancelled last Saturday due to the freezing conditions which have gripped Mainland Europe for weeks now making the pitch unsafe for players to use .

The tournaments organising commitee announced it was "Delighted to have agreed on a new date and time" .
Apparently all ticket holders are entitled to attend the match on the new date and said "any ticket holders unable to attend the match will recieve a full refund of their match ticket".

Full details of refunds are going to be available tomorrow Wednesday the 15th.
Kick off for the new game is March 4th at 15:00 GMT .

Adele to leave music industry for 4 or 5 years ?

Ok I know ive wrote enough about "Adele" the past 24 hours but according to a interview with  the Magazine Vogue , Adele is going to take a 4-5 year break from music to concentrate on her relationship with her boyfriend "Simon Koneck" .

"I am f*c*ing off for 4 or 5 years . When im constanly working, my relationships fail". says the young  23 year old singer to vogue magazine .


Well Mr. Koneck you are going to have alot of angry Adele fans upset if she goes ahead with this .
Adele continued to say "Now I can have time to write a happy record . And be in love and be happy" .
Well Adele thats all great but if for you to be happy means leaving the music Industry for half a decade then maybe we prefer the sad Adele who writes songs about break ups and gets Number 1 hits all over the world .

Sadly though I think "Adele" will be with this guy long term as she continued on saying .

"And then i dont know what I'll do. Get married . Have some kids . Plant a nice vegetable patch".
Adele then said she has had alot of relationships fail  getting a little drunk and flipping out at her boyfriends since getting famous .

"I go from Oh My God i love you , To get the f*ck out of my House"!

"There like tell my what ive done so i can say sorry " she says .

"It used to be that I drink a bit to much . But i dont drink no more" .

Well there it is one of musics best voices is leaving the industry for a break .
I can see her next song in a few years "Rolling in the vegetable patch with someone like you "

James Cameron going to require expensive submarines for Avatar 2 .

"Sigourney Weaver" spills on Avatar 2 and 3 - says Cameron to build submarines to shoot films .

Yes, when "James Cameron" announced that he would be making a Avatar 2 we knew if it was going to live up to the original it would be very,very expensive . However when we first heared early last year that the film would be shot at least to some degree underwater when we return to Pandora (everybodys favourite planet orbiting a distant Gas giant with 10 foot blue natives) we didn't excpect Mr Cameron would be having his own fleet of  "specialy builts Submarines" built .

Well at least thats what Sigourney Weaver says in her latest interview with Sam Worthington . She also says "Cameron will only begin filiming " once these submarines are built and the films (Avatar 2 and Avatar 3) arent due for release untill 2014 and 2016 .

 So as always, it looks like James Cameron is  not wasting any time (or money) on his latest flicks .
And with Weaver dishing out this information we can presume she too will return to Pandora some time in the future .

James cameron has revealed according to Weaver that the Director may be filming at Mariana Trench the deepest part of Earths Oceans .

Resident Evil Retribution trailer released.

"Milla Jovovich" returns as Alice in this latest addition to the very succesful zombie apocalypse franchise based on the video games of the same name . The trailer starts of like a normal add for SONY (who distribute the franchise) but is probably meant to appear as a pun on the fictional UMBERELLA CORPORATION in the franchise, responsible for the Zombie Outbreak.

The trailer features people all over the globe connected by mobile devices saying "Im (thier name) and this is my world" . The voice promoting the commercial then says "Imagine what the world will look like tommorow" .
This is when the earth switches to a dark burning place and shows star "Milla Jovovich" standing on top the  heavily guarded "White House" in a burning DC saying "My name is Alice and this is my world" .

Looks like its going to be another good movie .

RESIDENT EVIL RETRIBUTION hits theatres September 2012 .

The movie also sees a return by "Michelle Rodriguez" as Rain Ocampo from the original despite the fact her character is dead (well this is a zombie flick) although she does look very alive in the trailer

Irish actor David Kelly (Charlie and the chocolate factory) dies aged 82.

Irish actor "David  Kelly" died yesterday aged 82 and leaving behind wife "Laurie Morton" (Kelly) .
Perhaps best known for his role Worldwide, as Grandpa Joe Buckett in the film adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in which he starred along side Johnny Deep and Freddie Highmore .

David made his last film appearance on screen in the british faintasy movie "Stardust" in 2007 .
"Niall Toibin" friend and fellow actor has praised David by saying he "made you laugh all the time"
and had "a wicked sense of humour" . David had two children with wife Laurie . David won a lifetime achievment award in 2005 for a career spanning half a century .

The Walking Dead returns with a BITE !

Yes , Its back grab your pillow and cover your eyes .The scariest show on tv is back after its mid season
 break and has already broken cable records with latest Episode "Nebraska" pulling in 10 million viewers across  the United States .

The Walking Dead returns in the UK and Ireland this Friday the 17th and is likely to ( if US ratings are anything to go by) rule tv screens again .Will the survivors leave the farm , will we learn how Sophia ended up in The barn ? Who is next to get eaten alive ? Watch the walking dead every week on "AMC" and "FX" to find out ,

Tom Jones says Adele would be perfect to sing theme tune for new james bond movie

"Tom Jones" has told the UK newspaper "The SUN" that "Adele" would be perfect to sing the theme tune for the new bond flick "SKYFALL" which hits cinema later this year .

Adele had sparked rumours after saying in a interview with Jonathan Ross last year that she was set to record a  "Theme" for a film , saying afterwards "Wow ,Thats really giving somthing away".

Well either way i havnt seen a Bond movie in 3 years wont be extremly upset if Adele is not singing the theme (although it would be a bonus) once "Daniel Craig" Blows up loads of buldings and cars . AM I RIGHT ? Are you excited about james bond skyfall ?

Grammys 2012 deal with the death of a super star , Adele picks up 6 awards .

Well last nights 54th grammy awards at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles seem to have gone down very good considering the terrible loss of Whitney Houston one of the greatest female voices to ever to enter the industry, just over 24 hours earlier .

  

WHITNEY HOUSTON (1963-2012) 

Although i wasnt there myself obviously, I have been watching clips all day and reading about how the acadamy managed to keep one of the most glamourous nights of the year amazing without forgetting the great "Whitney Houston" . Houston herself has won many grammys over the career she has held for 3 decades . Her first being in 1986 , Yes a quarter of a century ago for "saving all my love for you " many of the singers and performers who were lucky enough to see Mrs Houston win her first award were present last night and must have been shocked to realise she was gone at the young age of 48 . 

  Anyhow down to the awards themselves Opened by host "LLCool J" who got off to a nice start by asking all the attendees to pray for "Our sister Whitney" . The awards then continued on to the more normal events of the evening but of course Whitney was remembered throughout the night and probably the most incredible dedication to Whitney came from Jennifer Hudson who sang quite emotionally and powerfully "I will always love you " , Whitney Houstons trademark song from the Movie "The bodyguard ".

Alica keys playing the piano (as Always ) also done a fair job singing some of Houston's songs but really i did fell she appeared as though she was not sure what she was singing .  Overall i think the acadamy done a good job remebering possibly the greatest female voice of the 20th century and I think "Neil Portnow" Head of the academy  sums it up quite well saying "Whitney was a friend - I (first) worked with her when she was 17 . Im pretty much the head of the family and when disasterstrikes you have to pull it all together and make it all work and make some decisions .So we shifted the show , which was extremely difficult .But i had the A team and they were nimble , and musicians by nature are able to impovise ".

  British singer Adele who won all 6 awards she was nominated for including best record of the year was overjoyed after having a tough year nearly losing her voice was the nights biggest winner and quickly knocked back rumours her voice was damaged from surgery late last year by sampling a piece of her "Rolling in the Deep" to the audience . We know what they say when one superstar passes a even bigger one rises up (well i do say that anyway) .


Other BIG winners included Rock band "Foo Fighters" picking up 4 awards , "Chris Brown" , "Rihanna" , "Taylor Swift" and "Cee Lo Green" .

Katy Perry in my opinion had an excellent performance to last night showing of her new BLUE hair looking as hot as ever .
