Ok before i go into detail on this story i would like to apologise and say that i am unimaginably sorry for not updating the site in months,ive been extremely busy personaly and promise daily updates are back for good thank-you .
SPOILERS ALERT BELOW - dont read if your a viewer in the UK and Ireland as "the walking dead" finale has yet to air on friday the 23rd of march.
Ok so last sunday night the walking dead season 2 aired its finale and after a fairly average season in my opinion there is only one word to describe the episode "EPIC" !
So considering the penultimate episode to the Walking Dead Season 2 gave plenty to talk about i thought they should have left that as the finale (how wrong i was) . With "Rick" after killing "Shane" who returned as a zombie under mysterious surcmstance (he wasnt bit) only to be put down quickly by Carl we new the virus had to have a dark secret to unveil , but lets not jump the gun too quick .
The first half of the episode shows us "Carl" and "Rick" trying helplessly to outrun a horde of zombies heading straight for the farm and the rest of the group attempting to evacuate hold off the imminent "plague" which "Hershel" refers to it as. "Glenn" and "Maggie" are driving around shooting walkers , "Andrea" , "T dog" with good old "Daryl" on his bike are running about putting down walkers too. However not all can be without family drama , "Lori" is back at the house being potected by Hershel with "Carol" ,"Beth" and "Patrica" desperately looking for Carl having no idea he is with his father . They stay for as long as they safely can but Carol makes it clear they must leave .
Hershel refuses to go , Lori , Carol , Patrica and Beth make a run for the pick up truck , T dog is waiting in , Patrica who is almost acting as a mother character for Beth clings to her hand only to be snatched from the side by a walker and bit in the kneck , Beth traumatised continues to hold her hand even as more walkers tear the screaming Patrica apart . Lori turns around and pulls Beth from Patrica ending this brief relationship .
Quickly though another character is in danger of becoming zombie chow Carol is seperated and picks up a stick (as though that would help) screaming for assistance in front of a shed . All looks hopeless for Carol untill Andrea appears and starts to shoot the approaching corpses . Andrea too is attacked but manages to shoot the zombie in the head , the walkers body then falls towards her and she falls to the ground . Lori who is now safe in the truck with Beth and T dog says it looks like the walker got her death and T dog drives off leaving the farm behind .
Whilst this was happening Rick and Carl have set fire to the barn with dozens of walking corpses inside and proceed fom the top of the barn towards the RV with Jimmy inside . The zombies push through the RV door and gut poor Jimmy , (well thats what happens when your not blood related to the only man who might care about you ) (Hershel doesn't mention Jimmy at all , he is fixated on his daughters) .
Anyhow this provides a nice little chance for Rick and Carl to sneak past the RV and head towards the house .
Meanwhile Daryl looks from a distance at the chaos unfolding on the farm , he is about to leave when he hears Carols screams as she runs accross the fields , from the farm with a small army of walkers behind her . Daryl pulls up in front of her and they both head away from the farm on a motorbike .
Rick and Carl arrive just in time to save Hershel and they leave the burning , dead infested farm .
Maggie and Glenn have also left alive as they got cut off from everyone and Glenn finally utters those simple words Magie has patiently waited for "i love you" . (how sweet a happy moment , they are rare on this show) .
Slowly all the survivers meet up after smartly choosing the location where they left Sophia supplies to regroup , everyone starts to let everthing sink in . They presume the worst and say Andrea is dead , but of course Andrea is very much alive running about the forest from a pack of walkers stalking her .
(Lori is going to pay big time for abandoning Andrea , i can feel it !) But it is here we learn the episodes most shocking reveal . What was Rick told at the CDC ? Well after seeing Shane rise up from the dead unbit last episode , its time for us to know , everyone is infected with the disease and when they die no matter how they will become a zombie ! (Theres a smack in the face ). As you can imagine the group are annoyed Rick knew this .
Andrea is going fine untill she is pinned by a walker after bashing in the brains of the others .
It appears as though its lights out for Andrea when BANG ! The walkers head is cut clean off by a sword. A rather scary looking figure with chains coming out of her kneck attached to walkers with no mouths or arms . (think of them as domesticated wild dogs) Andrea looks at the face of this figure who is actually "Michonne" from the comics) (a african american woman who likes swords !) This is all we see of Andrea and Michonne our new mystery character for the rest of the episode .
Eventually The rest of the survivors camp for the night at the ruins of a old building along the highway and it its here we see a new Rick who frightens everyone , hes bad ass , no longer cares about others and quite frankly he tells everyone to leave but they dont (yet). He finishes by saying that the which will remain under his leadership and is no longer a democracy and we get a zoom out over the forest to see the location for next season a prison . BRING ON SEASON 3 !

But first i must wonder at the start we see a helicopter leaving Atlanta which the walkers follow out of the city .. where and how did the helicopter come from ? Is there another more organised group of survivors , possibly military or government related with some kind of civilisation left in the world ? Why else would they have helicopters flying around attracting attention ? Plese comment ?
